You said I deserved better than you.
That it was best for me, to get rid of anything..
    That reminded me of you.

Your eyes reminded me of nights spent staring..
    Into their ocean depths..
    So I plucked them out.

Your lips reminded me of our kisses..
    Tender, and sweet..
    So I cut them off.

Your tongue reminded me of the splendid laughter..
I could sometimes elicit from your lips..
    So I tore it out.

Your hands reminded me of the shivers..
That I'd feel from your touch..
    So I chopped them off.

Finally.. As you pleaded with me, I stared at you..
Tears in my eyes, as I thought of your neck..
    The paleness of it.

Your throat reminded me of every day..
That I wasted listening to your voice..
    So I slit it.

You're cold now, gathering flies on a slab.
    I smile, knowing finally..
    I have found peace.

    I can move on..
But first I just want to say goodbye..
So I place a kiss upon your lips, and tuck them inside my coat.

A part of you shall forever be with me.
    My love.
    Now too, my victim.
