Screaming voices in my brain
Telling me of what's to come
Of bitter, never ending pain
With no escape, no where to run
-------Facing life as day to day
-------Searching for some kind of peace
-------Knowing well, the price I pay
-------will cause what matters most to cease
Confusion now, my normal state
Ambivalence pervades my very soul
Nothing can allay my fate
To save a part destroys the whole
-------Lost in my vicissitude; I try
-------To make amends for past mistakes
-------Before I commit my hand to die
-------And the silent, sleeping serpent wakes
--------------------------------------------------------------
"Lost Love"
The sky is gray, the mood is blue
My mind is filled with thoughts of you
fluid thoughts of love and pain
of never seeing you again
-------I'm sorry love, for how it's been
-------I've cose a path that's frought with sin
-------But I cant stop, it's gone too far
-------I've tried to catch a falling star
Falling short of God and dreams
Going nowhere now, it seems
As though I've lost the only thing
That could have made me whole again
-------Of love, and such, I was in awe
-------But I possess the monkey's paw
-------The worldly things I held too dear
-------Could never seem to bring you near
Inside my heart, you hold a place
Much deeper than both time and space
But more than love, I couldnt see
You've a deeper need to just be free
-------So one more thing before I go
-------I pray somehow, someday, you'll know
-------Just how much you've meant to me
-------To show my love, I set you free
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Heaven's Teardrops"
Heaven's teardrops trickle down
To quench the ever thirsting ground
Til spectral colors mark it's end
with brilliant arcs, the rainbows bend
Across the sky, a snow white dove
Softly sings her song of love
For those like me who cannot find
Peace of body, soul or mind
But like a dream, this life goes on
Until we wake, and then it's gone
With heavy heart, 'neath blackened skies
The phoenix folds it's wings and dies
