...Unheard and Unheeded...
Flickering lamplight,
a guide for the strokes
Creating a mesh of mixed colors.
A wipe of the forehead,
and back to work,
but what is the point, the drive?
Completed, he turns,
to face harsh ridicule,
Just searching for familiarity.
Cut down, belittled,
the tools are dropped forever.
Stifled imagination.
