-
One person in a million.
One leaf upon a tree.
One blade of grass in a meadow.
One drop of water in the sea.
One color in a rainbow.
A single strand of hair.
Even if you don't notice me,
I know I'll still be there.
An unrequited love, I know,
I often do lament.
For I am just one in that crowd,
while you are heaven sent.
It's impossible for you, I know,
to think of me that way.
Because when I try to say Hello,
you just stare and turn away.
I am my own, I am mine,
even for you I will not change.
You are my air, my sun and rain.
Though that may sound quite strange . . .
Am I a stalker? No I am not,
I know best to leave you alone.
It's impossible for me, I know,
to make your heart my home.
I know it hurts, to keep this love,
hidden and locked away.
But I will keep it, cherish it,
and care for it everyday.
Nowadays we are great friends,
we chat and laugh and smile.
I wonder . . . if I confessed . . .
Would our friendship turn vile?
It's hard to think of,
when I see you smile at some other guy. . .
Could he be your lover?
Could he be your sky?
So now I agree with all my heart,
I will show no regret.
I will keep my love sacred to me,
and keep my unrequited feelings secret . . .
