    There once was a Queen,
    A beauty to behold,
    But with time even she
    began to wither, old.

    The King—her fading love,
    laying dying in his bed,
    His eyes stayed cast above,
and soon he fell down dead.

    The Queen was quite surprised,
    one glance he couldn’t spare?
To look her in the eyes,
and last time call her, “Fair.”?

    Obsessed with her looks,
The Queen was off with rage,
    She found herself some books,
and took them to her Mage.

    The mage, a cunning man,
    was taken by her plight.
“You’ll have to do this quick.
You’ll have to do this right.”

    All logic soon consumed,
    by vile vanity,
    The Queen’s impending doom,
was not too hard to see.

    She practiced with her spells,
    She learned the Magic—dark.
Her soul, now claimed by hell,
    She crafted her new art.

    Prerequisites, long done,
The Mage now showed his price,
    The Queen herself was stunned--
    A human sacrifice.

“One life, it can be lost.
    And beauty I’ll posses.”
The Queen brushed off the cost,
and went to claim her Death.

But one life turned to two,
and two lives turned to three.
    The Queen, who lost herself,
    Gave into infamy.

    She slaughtered left and right,
    and giggled at her deeds.
    The Kingdom froze with fright.
    The Mage was very pleased.

“My Queen, what have you done?”
    Her silence would respond.
The Queen was loved by none.
And then the Queen was gone.

    The Mage and Princess wed,
    And instantly, at that.
    “The Queen escaped,” He said.
    According to his plan.

The Queen, a soul gone cold,
    Was gone before her time,
    And as the story’s told,
    The King was only blind.
