• Many people see a poem
    And see only a page of words
    Yet many others see a poem
    And see a world that should be heard

    What is poetry you ask me
    Well what do you think it should be
    Should it be a story or a song
    Need it be short or long

    You state that you are unaware
    That when you see a poem all you can do is stare
    So you ask me for some insight unimpaired
    So you can see this world that all must share

    To me poetry is more than a hobby
    It is an outlet of beauty
    At times seems like an autobiography
    And is deep emotion not all can see

    Poetry is nothing more than feeling
    Like life it is complicated yet easy
    But while all it is is understanding
    We don't seem to realize all the possibilities
