You can be a soldier,
marching pride in red and white,
nobility not arrogance,
who brightens up the night.
The one who helps the moon up,
from it's slumber underground,
opening it's eyes up,
taking in the sights and sounds.
You're the one who lights up the horizon,
when all else seems so black,
you're a shoulder there to cry on,
you're the hand upon my back.
I don't know what I would have done,
on an earth without you on it,
the days that we had so much fun,
a childhood friendship sonnet.

- this is a sweet gesture! playing with traditional forms is great, but try mucking around with less restrictive forms. they can be a lot of fun.
