smile "This place got anything to eat?" She asked.
I looked around for something that looked like it'd have food in it. I found a cabinet that had some basic food. Not enough for a meal, but should be enough for a 5 inch fairy. confused "Just a small box of cookies." I said.
biggrin "That'll work." She grinned as I brought it over to her.
"Now don't make yourself sick." I warned.
razz "Yeah, yeah." Was the only response I got before she dove into the box. I shook my head knowing there was no way she'd be able to finish the whole thing. Once I liberated myself of my shoes, belt, and gloves, I stood in front of the mirror and gazed upon a sad sight.
For the first time that day did I get to see what I really looked like. My face looked weathered and my red eyes looked redder. My white hair unkept. One feature caught my attention the most. My missing magician's mark. I tenderly touched the blank cheek under my left eye. It was strange to have nothing there. A small smile crossed my face. Emi was right, I did look like an ugly elf without that mark. smile
Moving on with my self examination, I decided to risk a look at my ribs. My entire side was black and blue and slightly swollen. Looking at the rest of me, I looked like Hell. A shower was definitely needed. I took one last look at Emi before I entered the shower.
The hot water was definitely needed. I had put my dirty clothes back on, being they were the only ones I had and headed over to the bed and sat down. "Want me to leave a light on, Emi?" I asked. neutral No response. "Emi?" confused The box of cookies was on the floor. She wasn't inside. I looked under the night stand, my bed, inside the cabinets... eek I basically tore the place apart trying to find her. It wasn't until I was about to give up did I notice crumbs and cookie pieces heading out the door. I followed.
The only thing I found in the street was her tiny boot. sad
