"Oh, James, what are you going to do about it? Nothing. All you've done is prove my power is much greater than you." Sevilen sneered as he pressed more weight on my chest, sending more agonizing pain through my body.
"Then let me return the favor." I managed to gasp. I reached into my coat for the knife he stuck in my door only hours earlier. I drew it and stabbed it into his leg. He let out a cry of pain as he collapsed to the ground and struggled to get it out.
I rolled over finally able to breathe, but the pain was still great. The combination of broken ribs, pierced chest, and after shock of what sent me flying was just agonizing. I did manage to stand over Sevilen, who gave me the darkest scowl of darkest scowls.
"You will pay for this, Karakal." He spat pointing his wand at me. I kicked it aside and stood on his injured leg. "Where is Emi?" I demanded as he let out a cry.
"I told you, I had my men dispose of her when she was no use." He grunted. I pressed harder. "AAACK, you won't find her. And even if you did, it'd be too late."
He let out another cry of pain as I kicked his face. scream "Wrong answer." I growled. He smiled through his blood stained teeth as he grabbed my ankle and sent fire up my leg. I fell over trying to pat the fire out. Before I could get enough away he had me by the throat.
evil "I knew I should've killed you 3 years ago. How you got away, I'll never know, but I will not let you escape again." He snarled as his grip on my throat tightened. I tried to pry his fingers away, but the effort was futile.
As my world began going black, Sevilen lost his grip and the next thing I knew, there was a stranger in a deep teal cape with a strange mask fending him off. That was the last image I saw before my world went completely black.
