stressed "What do you want?" Came his gruff voice answering the door. "Do you know what time of night it is?"
I couldn't respond. My lips tried to form words, but in the end, I just held out my hand to show Julius the tiny boot I found in the street. He eyed it and then realized what I could not say. "I'll wake Kitty. If someone has her, then we must not let them leave the city."
After a few minutes, Kitty arrived, not looking too pleased that she was woken up. Her mood then changed to concern when she heard that Emi was missing. "I'll get the boarder patrol doubled. Make sure that no one comes in or out without our knowledge." She went off to do that.
sad "What am I to do?" I asked.
:X "You're with me. We're going to search the streets and ask everyone we come across if they've found a 5 inch tall flightless fairy missing a boot." Julius replied.
And that's what we did. No one seen Emi or anyone that looked like they didn't belong. Even Shroomkitty had no luck with the boarder patrol. After hours searching, we stopped at my door. The three of us looking even more tired than we were to begin with. Then again, I had not slept since yesterday.
"Hey, Kar." Kitty started.
I wearily looked up at her. "Yes?" I asked.
"What's that on your door?"
I turned to see what she was talking about. Sure enough, there was a note... knifed to my door.
"Dust won't save you this time, James." Was all it said....
