It glowed softly in the darkness of the room
Claustrophbia kicked in and my mind went smaller
It's smooth varnish felt nice upon my frozen fingertips
And the smell of it's oak tip rustled the air around me
It hummed in harmony to my kicking heart
Growing faster and faster with every pulsing beat
It's engravings felt soft as I traced my fingers over them
My name carved into its creamy handle
It whispered something into my ear and I felt at ease
As if a reassuring hand was placed upon my shoulder
It makes me take a short, sharp breath and I turn with haste
The Wand is behind me, illuminating my fear
