The weight of trust rests upon me,
A delicate thread spun from fragility.
My hands tremble, my vision fades,
Yet I move forward through shifting shades.
Colors elude my searching eyes,
A muted world where truth lies.
Emotions churn like untamed seas,
But lines and forms bring quiet peace.
A pencil glides, my silent reprieve,
Creating worlds where I believe.
In every curve, in every line,
I reclaim a strength that feels divine.
The world demands a steady hand,
Yet my stance is built on shifting sand.
Still, in imperfection, I discover grace-
A fleeting stillness, a sacred space.
Though I am fragile, I endure,
Through art, I heal, through flaws, I'm sure.
Each sketch a whisper, soft, profound,
A quiet triumph, unbound.

- Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback~ I’m glad the phosphene mention stood out to you~it’s one of my favorite parts too. I’ll definitely take your notes on the pronouns, metaphors, and imagery into account as I refine my style. Your encouragement means a lot, and I’ll keep working to improve. Thanks again for reading~<3

Pretty powerful stuff. Deeply evocative and sensorial.
A lot of pronouns; "I," "my." Mix metaphors, inconsistent imagery, and a rigid rhyme scheme keep it from hitting technical highs to match the subject matter.
I especially like the the phosphene mention, though. A real highlight for me. Solid poem. I hope you keep writing! - Report As Spam
