• A piece of tranquility in the midsts of chaos,
    My room stands strong.
    Turquoise waves crash on the walls,
    A the sun beats down through the leaves
    Of a banana tree.
    I relax on my bed of sand,
    And look out onto the water.
    The soft shade of a palm tree touches my face,
    Soothing my very soul.
    I spot a door in the distance.
    A door that if opened
    Unleashes the winds of chaos and panic.
    For now i am safe,
    Untouched by the ravages
    of the hurricane of life.
    Relaxed and calm
    I lay in wait,
    Dreading the moment when my peace
    Is broken.
