"I have come," said he. "I have brought the will."
As the entire audience sat very still.
He unrolled the parchment, took a breath,
and spoke of the king's untimely death:
"Although I bleed, I am still strong.
I take naught but a bead from royal throng;
And under my blade I fell myself
so that you all may find thyself;
In yonder way that my country does
yet love and thrive after all of the fuss."
He lowered the paper, bowed his head,
and strode off of the pew in palpable dread
As the audience wept and cried aloud,
"Please let our king's death stay just and proud."
