Cupid tried aiming another rusty shot.
Once pointy tips were dull; bow cracked.
Grace of heaven’s immunity faltered,
along with the fat baby’s cries.
Pivotal force turned other arrows a miss
because of arthritis wrists- smack!*
Hour upon arrival in purgatory,
the prioritized angel of love’s heart drained empty of sweetness
and dented, like an eaten, discarded chocolate box.
His smelly single adult dipper’s in a bunch.
Feathery wings wilted, crumbled to dusty chalk of heart candy.
Hallmark and Walmart may deal with people’s transactions:
friends and foes, lovers or lust, smooth weathered to wrinkles.
Child’s mouth to bust and kindled flame; transparent all the same.
Cupid’s position was spoiled rotten.
His legendary work was undone.

This just kinda says that Valentine's day is now officially a scam to earn money and it should be celebrated daily in little free acts of love to/from one another( friends, family, lovers, bf, gf, etc.) - Date: 02/24/2009
