• Description: Sometimes it's hard for us to let go of love ones..... we try so hard to keep them close and safe, not knowing that that our own desires conflict with what they really need :: THEY'RE SPACE! ** I wrote this poem some time ago about a person I really cared about
  Yet, whenever that person was in my sight, all i could think about was capturing them for myself:: LIKE A TRINKET ** In the end, I drove this person to hate me for everything I had done for them

Fly away little butterfly
Just fly far far away

Fly out the open door
pass the steel bars
Fly over the highest trees
beyond the many hues of greens

Fly away little butterfly
Just fly far far away

Fly into the heavens
if you think you can reach them
Fly below the brightest stars
if the twinkling lights don't blind you

Fly away little butterfly
Fly far far away

Fly away and forgive me for what I thought to do to you
for it was I who set the trap lined in the sweetest nectar
close the lid to your glassy prison as if you had done me wrong

Fly away and never remember I almost tried to pin you down
i wanted to keep you as if you were a trinket
pierce your wings with my unkind needles

Fly away little butterfly
Just fly far far away

This brought tears to my eyes. My first love; I did the same thing with him. Made him hate me for years. We finally get along now and I realized I did try to trap him for myself.
