I remember how he held me close
And told me that he loved me
He would wind his arms
Around my waist
And whisper in my ear
he never said I was pretty
I was always beautiful
I was never just great
I was amazing
I remember how he'd look at me
And say he would never forget
He would tell me I was there
Forever in his heart.
I was always something more to him
I wasn't a garnet
I was a diamond
I wasn't a normal falcon
I was a phoenix
I was never just a nersery rhyme
I was the most beautiufl song
To him that is.
I miss how he said
He'd always be with me
How he'd always love me
I miss the way he held me close
His breath across my skin
I miss the way I felt safe
Surrounded by his arms.
How he'd smile at me
As I tucked a hair behind my ear
I miss asking him what he thought
When he gave me that smile
I miss how he said
"I don't know."
I miss the way he loved me
I miss my love for him

- Title: Love's Grave
- Artist: Mei Ying Chan
- Description: Something else I had written during my healing process back in the eighth grade. Even when you've stopped loving someone, doesn't mean you can't miss them.
