• And I stood there
    In the middle of the rain, thunder and lightning
    In the midst of all this chaos
    And found solitude
    A deafening silence fell
    And for an instant
    Everything aligned
    And my tears were masked by the downpoor
    Because for the longest time there's been something
    Eating me alive from the inside out
    And as my shoes sunk deeper into the damp grass
    I felt my shoulders grow lighter
    I knew that everything would work out
    That this would make me stronger
    That I've been through much worse
    And as I fell to my knees
    And I felt the world itself support me
    I found a new kind of courage
    A different kind of bravery
    The will to move on
    The moisture that hung in the air
    Soothed the sickness in my lungs
    Just like that
    I was cleansed
    I was someone else
    Any doubt that I had was irraticated with the lightning storm
    I have no more questions
    No more plights
    Because it's time to shine
    It's time to start over
    I don't want to be who I was so long ago
    That would defeat the purpose of progression
    I will take these mistakes
    And let them course through my veins
    A lesson learnt that I won't forget
    And i promise you, i'll be whole yet
    And the sun will rise with my heart
    As i walk on, walk on to happiness
