the curtains move through the breeze
and she lets out a sound
the window is open to other people
but he tells her not to move around
she keeps quiet until he leaves
then she comes up with a plan
and from the corner of her eye
she sees a shadow stand
her tied up hands do nothing
her captor slings her down
she lets out a solid wimper
as she hits the ground
this time she stays quiet
even when he's gone
she hopes and prays that she will live
but she knows that she is wrong
her eyes are almost closed
when someone bangs through the door
this voice is so much different
from her mean and scruffy captor
this man picks her up
and she knows that its over
tears begin to fall
when he throws her over his shoulder
she can smell the woods around her
she now has no more fear
she realizes who is carrying her
she lets out a happy tear
he sets her down in the car
and she is no longer sad
because she has been rescued
by her only hero, her dad.
