A ship lost at sea is a reckless mind and a careless mistake.
Aboard this vessel “the transcendentalist” I weather the storm to exist without mans pre-destined nature.
The map offers their refuse, but I seek solace in the moon.
In a hypnotic way my fingers release the planned path that only the presumptuatious would take, and I follow the moon; for man has corrupted the stars to appease to his own personal agenda.
I speak to teach or rather inspire but my heart is young and my ideas are cast away as impertinent thoughts from a child.
I only want their brow to crinkle in vain disbelief of the maturity I spit from these ageless lips.
My voice will never cease until their ears are forced to hear what they could never accept: a mind with a gift worthy of Thoreau voiced through the face of a little girl.
Life approaches from the horizon,
No misguiding my heart, not anymore….not ever.
I hear the waves lapping at the shore beneath my feet;
Calling me to its promise of a new beginning.
So with bated breath…. I take my first step forward.
