    The weather outside is frightful,
    They say,

    The ice and the snow are dangerous,
    They say,

    But they're wrong.

    The snow isn't good for playing in,
    They say,

    It'll be hard to get to the party,
    They say,

    And they're right.

    But have any of them seen
    What I have?

    Snow building up on a window sill,
    Frost spreading crackling vines across the pane?

    Oh, the contentment...

    Winter is a horrible season,
    They say,

    It's full of danger and discomfort,
    They say,

    But they're wrong.

    This year is going to be a quiet Christmas,
    They say,

    This year is going to be cheaper,
    They say,

    And they're right.

    But that just makes this year better, to me...
