I look at you and I feel a rush of hot water
I keep trying to dam my passionate feelings with coldness
but I am melted
my wall of ice liquifies at your touch
and I feel myself half-collapse under the rush of hot water
I look at you and I feel a rush of hot water
and my face is scalding.
I reach up and I can feel a fever
I am sick
Thought the doctors cannot tell me why
I think I know
I look at you and I feel hot water in my veins
my blood is so warm, so passionate
And at the same time your look freezes me
I told myself so steadfastly I wouldn't fall in love again
and here I am, a day later
damming
hot water
with ice.
- Title: Hot Water
- Artist: Pae Maia
- Description: This is a poem about the guy I like. I did ask him out, but he said he 'was busy'. Whether this was true or not I have yet to find out. It's ironic because after last year I said, 'no dating until I'm 20!' but of course this didn't last...
