• Forest gems, glimmer bright
    Shining silently, engulfed in darkness...
    Clouds of breaths, shrouding visions
    Tainting the chilled winter air...

Hidden to none, invisible to most
    The silver one, once gray
Awaits a crunch of snow, of twigs
A familiar scent, a glow of honey...

Covered in ice, eyes remain alert
While ears betray, her most honest form...
Worried, muscles tensing and legs rising
Ice falls, revealing her silver form once more...

    Energy lost, her form falls...
    She lay motionless once more...
An exhausted lover, waiting for his return
    Ever-vigilant, ever-unable to search...
