• I am from a place
    Where waving ribbons of terrain
    Form endless hills
    All covered by life
    That takes on many colors
    Of green
    Yellow
    Brown
    And blue

    I am from a place
    Bloodied with history
    And death
    As many brave soldiers
    Fought on the ground
    I have walked on

    I am from a place
Where man's best friend runs free
With tongues lolling over their lips
    And gladly they play
    Sometimes quite roughly

    I am from a place
    There the nature wakes
    At night
    In a jubilant song
    And flashes of feathers
    Of gray and of white

    I am from a place
    The seagulls beg for food
The train goes over the bridge
And people go on with their lives

    I am from a place
    Of candy and of fudge
    Where a deal and
    Random chatting
    Are really not too profound

    I am from a place
Where for twelve hours we sit
    The back stuffed with furniture
    The skies are pitch black
And the dawn reveals steep mountains

    I am from a place
    Of six sugar packets
    Plus a half-cup of cream
    A boatload of caffiene
It is full of games and books
And a furry puss to boot

    I am from a place
    Where one thing
    Quickly turns to another
    One adventure ends
    While another adventure starts
