I heard somewhere,
That the sky would fall if you didn’t whisper to it.
That the day is the mood of the great cerulean wonder above us.
That life is nothing but a bunch of moments tied together.
He was in pain, I could see it.
Society's criticizing flames breathed words that scathed him.
Not his heart, but his identity.
Maliciously, he was labeled a criminal and a monster, by blank-faced strangers.
Monsters like him were to be locked up in polite cages.
To be taken away from the eyes of the naive.
I heard somewhere,
That fear springs from ignorance.
Was he afraid? No. He was in too much immaterial agony.
Perhaps he did monstrous things,
But that doesn’t mean he isn’t human.
Underneath the thick epidermis of toxicity,
Was a sui generis beauty.
I heard somewhere,
That there is a place where they accepted broken humans.
Acceptance. Why is it so scarce on this planet?
- Title: Words For a Beautiful Sinner
- Artist: Creei
- Description: Point of the poem? Well, in a nutshell, it's about the way criminals are treated. The way they are viewed usually. They way people label them as monsters, and forget the fact that they are human just like you and me.
