You are the unattainable glory in which I can not grasp,
only seen to lit up the star filled sky.
The nuance of your beauty never stops to spear my heart with your glances,
but then is it really that?
In our last moment I foolishly shrugged you off,
and in the guilt filled aftermath...my regret became forever sketched in stone.
Oh how I'd hold you tighter if given the chance,
would you still smile the same or turn the other way?
Now I search to find a name to your scent,
because it wafts and haunts me.
Now I close my eyes to remeber the topaz jewels that were your eyes,
can you make them smile for me again?
Our time was too short, our joy too evanscent.
You are the unattainable glory in which I can not grasp,
only seen to lit up the star filled sky.
Shall I run to defend you, shall I go to be at your side?
And just like that your gaze ever so distant,
my memory fades with you--my golden one,
but I'm held in your grasp.
