• All alone, does the girl sit
Her wrists are scarred and her cheeks are stained
if anyone cared enough to ask, she'd just say it rained.

You see, dear? The keyword was 'if'
If anyone cared, but no one did.

This may've been why she would brush them away
But if someone really cared, to ask more than once,
She'd smile just bright as the sun and say

"My tears have streaked these lines on my cheeks,
And I've been alone all my past
But thats all because, all this time no one's cared
to break through my heart of glass"

This girl you see, has a lonely life
she's never been one to talk
And her clothes are dark, her past is sad
So she's not seen as the start of the party

After all, now all her freinds are gone
    Her known family all dead
And now she waits for someone to rescue her
And prays every night, on her foster bed

After being betrayed by so many, lied to by tons
She's built up a rather smooth wall
It surrounds her heart and until someone breaks through,
    it'll last.
This is her heart, and around it's the wall
So they think it's her heart thats made of glass.

It's there to ward off those weak enough to give her those stares,
it's so they think it's inpenetrable
    But glass, you see
is easy to break, you just must go through the pain

The shards will shatter and pierce your skin,
    possibly make you bleed
But showing you care enough to get hurt
Is just exactly what she needs

So you see? If you do
Care for her and decide to
    break through to her heart-

If you decide to be the one that's nice to her,
And try and become her friend
That lonely, sad life of hers
and those bleeding glass-cuts you've endured
Will all come to an end.

Becasue you've showed that you're different
And broken that clear wall apart
She'll be your friend, and you are hers
since you've shattered the glass around her heart
