High above the ocean-side
Past the villages, far and wide
Mountains gaze down below
Nestled in their blanket of snow
Far beyond where eyes can reach
Covered up to jagged peaks
Peaceful, ivory, gentle flakes
Dance their way down on the trees
And when the sun begins to fade
Luminescent colors masquerade
Amber flames give warmth and light
Let us sleep in peace tonight.
