• He'll lay there forever in his dreams
A gentle smile on his face
This is so much harder than it seems
You are longing for his embrace

Tears are now rolling down your cheek
Your nose is beginning to run
Your vision blurs and you just can't speak
You think back to times that were fun

Standing over where his body lay
    Thinking how life is unkind
Trying to figure out what to say
But nothing new comes to your mind

You sob and look over to your friend
For help as to what you should do
But no sooner did it make your heart mend
    He's devistated, just like you

You turn to see people there weeping
Streaks on faces where tears have once been
You feel what they are all needing
A moment with your friend again.

You stare at this motionless man
For this is the last time you will
Wanting to take his cold hand
And show him the tears that you spill

You slowly smile and straighten your pose
And wipe the tears so you can see
Keep his love and hold his heart close
    And carry on his memory

The hardest part is to walk away
The easiest part is to cry
Just keep him close to you everyday
And his heart and soul will not die.
