• To those whom I call friends,
    Know that pondering in solitude,
    I've come to learn that
Not one of you do I deserve.
    The kindness that you
    Bestow upon me,
    That too I don't deserve.

I am of the darkened kin,
A nobody with no worth who
    Lives in the shadows.
A lonely soul with broken wings,
    Bounding me to the ground.

    When I'm sad, I look
Up to the sky and see you
All being free and I'll be sadder.

But that's my reason to live,
    No matter how shattered and
    Bloody my wings get,
I won't ever give up keeping you
Happy, alive, and share precious moments.

    Whenever I'm alone I wonder,
What is it like to be free?
As free as you are, why do you
    Befriend someone who
    Can't fly, forever watching
    The limitless sky?

    Please know that you don't
    Have to worry about me.
I don't deserve any of you.
I'm not worthy enough for your
    Friendship and kindness.

I don't mind if any of you
Left me caged and stored away.
I can go back to the darkness,
    The shadows, they call,
    And await my final day
