Opening up with Isshin and Urahara debating over Aizen's new form, and whether or not they took him out, Isshin states that he can't sense Aizen's reiatsu.
"Sure, he was frighteningly strong...
But no matter how much I fought and slashed at him, it felt like there was nothing there."
However, they don't get much more time to talk; Aizen's back up-n'-at-'em, quipping that they've got no chance against him, and that he '"Understood" that power".'
But now, there's a huuuge gaping crack in his 'face', and seemingly NOTHING behind it. WHAT? Like Isshin asks--
"What's...going on under there?!"
Gin is still jabbing at Ichigo.
"You aren't a warrior anymore.
Not a shinigami.
Nor a hollow.
Not even a person.
You think you, standing here in such a half-assed state like that,
Are going to be able to stand up to an opponent that those three lost to?"
Gin warns him that he knows that Aizen scares Ichigo and that he ought to 'shape up' because of that, but when Ichigo doesn't respond, he draws his sword again.
It's looking like another attack from Gin, but he's stopped by Aizen, who appears behind Ichigo, and behind him, Isshin, Urahara, and Yoruichi appear to have been cut down--at least for the moment.
When Aizen questions him, Gin says that he was 'Just testing Ichigo's strength'--and Aizen's reply is
"Open up a senkai gate,
We'll invade the Karakura Town that is in Soul Society."
But the chapter doesn't end there, not yet--
As Gin and Aizen turn to leave, Aizen's mask cracks open altogether, and Gin comments that his 'Period of Incubation is over'--and Aizen turns back to reveal his same face, but with some interesting changes.
Blacked-out corneas that make his eyes look like Ichigo's when in hollow-form, and some significantly longer hair.
They open the senkai gate, and stepping through, Aizen says
"With my own eyes
I will witness the fall of soul society.
We are leaving you here.
Eating you
Can be done after all is finished."
The gate closes. Suddenly Isshin is yelling for Ichigo to open another, and he's up again, father and son supporting one another standing as they face the just-closed gate, and Isshin ends our chapter with:
"Let's go.
We're gonna protect Karakura Town."
