[Chapter 415 - Deicide Part 17 7/15]
Our chapter begins with a flashback.
In the woods, a small Gin peeks through a cover of leaves to find a small gathering of Shinigami. A semicircle of men is kneeling around one man, standing before them as the assumed leader.
The man takes something from one of them; something small and dark and round, that he drops into a beaker, and as Gin watches, the man smiles and turns to face him--before we're taken back to the present.
Aizen is reeling backwards as Gin stands before him, arm outstretched as his former 'ally' falls.
A scene of snowy ground and footsteps leading out of a slightly-open wooden door is shown next; and the words,
'A glimpse...of truth.' bring us into the chapter.
Gin grabs the Hogyoku, but as he does, Aizen's hand grabs his, and he's thrown tumbling backwards, but as he ducks away, Aizen falls to the ground with a look of shock on his face. He seems to almost want to call out to Gin, but instead within moments he's back up to his knees, roaring with RAGE--and ohoho folks, we finally get a view of his RAGEFACE it seems.
His body suddenly seems to just billow upwards into a massive white cloud, and as he's undergoing some new transformation from the looks of it, Gin is hiding in an alleyway, looking at his arm--which is now damaged badly, missing a huge chunk of his wrist--though, he now has the Hogyoku.
"It's over....
with this, it's all over...."
But he doesn't have long to rest.
A massive column of light and energy has erupted into the sky where Aizen stood, and now we're introduced to what seems like Aizen's 'final evolution'; a strange legless ghost-like form with what look like three sets of butterfly's wings at his back.
He proceeds to inform Gin
"...This is my victory, Gin...
The Hogyoku you stole...
Whether or not it is inside me..." Aizen's eyes go to Gin, standing in the street below.
"Is already mine."
Suddenly in Gin's hands the Hogyoku he held seems to have been reduced to nothing; and we're shown that the Hogyoku seems to have integrated with Aizen completely.
We're taken back to flashback territory now.
Young Gin is staring at Lieutenant Aizen and his group; and his eyes find a young Rangiku laying beaten and unconscious on the forest floor nearby. His eyes go back to Aizen.
"This guy.
This guy's the boss.
He's the guy I have to--"
And then with a last panel-glimpse into the present, Aizen stands before Gin in a menacing pose, one arm in the motion-position of slashing Gin across the chest.
"A Ruthless end..?!"
What will next week show us?
Discuss!
- BUTTERFLAIZEN.
- Gin's reasons for wanting to kill Aizen--to protect Rangiku?
- Rangiku's role in all of this.
- The Hogyoku and it's 'integration' with Aizen.
- Gin's fate.
