mad "What're you looking at?" She asked in a demeaning tone.
rolleyes "A fairy?" I asked.
"Yeah, well quit staring or I'll curse you for 50 years." She snapped. "Now then... Aw man, you mean I'm not outside." She groaned.
"That's what it looks like."
"I don't need your help, Ein..." She paused and just stared at me.
"What?"
"You have elf ears, but you're too ugly to be an elf." She said.
stare "Thanks." I said. "I'm a magician, thank you."
"You don't have the mark of a magician."
eek "......what do you mean. 'I don't have the mark of a magician'?"
"Don't all magicians have some sort of symbol under their left eye?"
"Well yes but...." I could not believe it, was my mark really gone? I wasn't sure exactly what that meant, but I dearly hoped it did not mean I completely lost my magic.I composed myself () "Even without my mark, I am still a magician. I just lack my wand."
"Uh huh, sure. Sevilen eradicated all of the magicians, including the Master Magician."
eek "...even the..." I could not believe it. No, it had to be a lie. No matter what Sevilen did, there's no way he could take out the Master Magician himself. That was just not possible unless.... No... He couldn't have. I needed answers and there was only one person I knew I could get them from. If anyone knew anything, it was her. "Fairy, what is your name?"
"Huh..? My name's Emilia Jenxy." She stammered.
"My name is James Karakal. Do you have enough dust to uncuff me and unlock this door?" I asked with hopefulness in my tone. "I can get us out of here if you do."
She thought a moment. "Only if I can live in your pocket. It's cold when you're past the factory district."
"Done."
She reached into her small bag of fairy dust and sprinkled it over my cuffs and chains which fell down to my sides. Seeing as how she did not have wings, I held her up to the lock. She sprinkled more dust onto that and the door swung open. "I better not have to do anymore of that. Fairy dust is getting harder and harder to find."
"I'll handle it from here." I said setting her on my shoulder.
rolleyes "Sure, 'he'll handle it' he says." She crawled into my scarf, which tickled.
I did the next best thing I could think of for this kind of situation. Run as fast as I could the direction I was lead from.
