-
loneliness claws at my soul,
it's essence swirls about me,
like a loved ones fragrance,
sprayed in a room full of memories,
its poignant notes of longing,
lick despondently upon the,
star draped shores that are my soul,
such a reverent deadly treasure,
from a relationship past,
draw my eyes like beacons,
on a long sea swept night,
a velvet covered box hides heartache,
as fingers reach,
towards this fragment of dreams that became nightmares,
when two hearts stopped beating in rhythm,
sighs escape my fragile lips,
they are torn from my body,
one wisp of breathe at a time,
as remembrance feeds upon my wounded heart,
what creation of fate, brought this to life,
my thoughts stream in this melancholy river,
that flows through my veins,
as fingers complete there journey home,
touching such a delicate instance of flawless beauty,
sparkling with meaning and devotion,
that always finds it's way in to my mindless wonderings,
and I find myself caught once again,
amid the memory of ivory soft skin and softly held breaths,
full of longing and forevers,
such fair fuels this aloness that is indescribable,
the need,
the hunger,
the inescapable reality,
that I long for his touch,
I crave with vengeance unheeded,
the killing stroke that felled my heart at his feet,
I am enflamed with my desire,
once again,
for his always,
forever,
and I do.
